Consultation with LGB&T community

Closed 18 Nov 2011

Opened 25 Aug 2011

Results Updated 11 Jun 2012

19 members of the public took part in this survey.

Views were mixed - some wanted services closer to home; others preferred services in the gay village.

Some respondents wanted targeted LGBT information, while others wanted to use mainstream services, but have clinicians trained to be more knowledgeable of different needs.

NHS Stockport wants to get the views of local people on specialist Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender services.

Why We Are Consulting

The NHS is going through immense changes, coupled with a reduction in overall funding allocations. In order to meet the health needs of our residents, we need to review existing services and contracts to make sure we are delivering the right services and getting the best value for money.

We want your views on the current services and what health needs exist for future contracting decisions.

What Happens Next

Your views will be taken to our Board for use in deciding future contracts for  specialist Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender services.
